On Tuesday 22nd October, students from 5th and 6th year visited Midlands Skills in Tullamore. The focus was on Construction Apprenticeships – Electrical, Carpentry, Bricklaying, Plumbing and Insulation. The students got a great insight into the many opportunities available to them with this type of work. They got a tour of the Cleanroom where they train people for working in many different environments for example pharmaceutical, microelectronic and medical devices. They received a short talk on apprenticeships and got a tour of the workshops in Midlands Skills.
