Juvenile Gaelic Football: Clara vs Colaiste na Hinse

On January 16th Clara played Colaiste na Hinse in a North-Leinster Final match in the Juvenile Football Competition.  

Colaiste na Hinse started the game with a very quick point. Clara gave away a free kick in an extremely dangerous position and Colaiste na Hinse got their second point of the game from their free. Dylan Dunne scored an unbelievable point from long distance. Clara gave away a free and Colaiste na Hinse took it quickly but missed a fantastic opportunity. Then Dylan Dunne got a point to level the game. John Carrol scored a goal to get Clara into the lead and the supporters were very excited. Colaiste na Hinse got themselves back into a draw with a goal. Dylan Dunne got his third point of the game. Colaiste na Hinse took their lead back with a goal. Thomas Wier made a crucial save and Clara got their fourth point of the game. Colaiste na Hinse got a goal then a point. Colaiste na Hinse had a great chance to score a goal but hit it over the bar. Dylan Deehan Kavanagh made a wonderful save off the line. Colaiste na Hinse got the final point of the first half. The score at half-time was Colaiste na Hinse 3-4 and Clara 1-4. 

The second half started and Ryan Handy got the first goal for this half of the game. Dylan Deehan Kavanagh got Clara’s third goal of the game. Dylan Dunne got Clara back in the lead with a goal and Sean Mullen got a point. Colaiste na Hinse missed a great chance and Dylan Deehan Kavanagh got Clara another point. It was a very intense game. Conor Byrne went on for James Dolan. Ryan Handy scored his second goal of the game. Colaiste na Hinse got their first score of the second half. Dylan Dunne scored a terrific goal at the bottom corner. Colaiste na Hinse got a free and scored a point from it. Dylan Dunne scored another goal for Clara. But Colaiste na Hinse scored a goal and a point to try to get back into the game. Colaiste na Hinse scored a point from a free and then got a goal. Nathan Kelly went in for Sean Mullen. Colaiste na Hinse scored two points. Dylan Deehan Kavanagh got Clara back in the lead we really thought they were going to win the game but. Colaiste na Hinse leveled the game right at the end, and it went into extra time. 

Extra time started and Colaiste na Hinse scored two goals to take a six-point lead. Colaiste na Hinse got another point and a goal. Darragh Rowen went in for Charlie Dignam. Thomas Wier made a great save at the end of the first half. 

The second half of extra time started and Colaiste na Hinse got the final point of the game. The end score was Colaiste na Hinse 9-13 and Clara 7-7. It was an unfortunate loss for Clara. 

 

In goals Thomas Wier. The back line consisted of Jake Lynch, Charlie Dignam, Daniel Stoyanov, Oisín Guilfoyle, Tommy Molloy and Dylan Deehan Kavanagh. 

The two midfielders were Liam Fitzpatrick and John Carroll 

The forward line was Tadgh Maher, Dylan Dunne, Nial Clerkin, Sean Mullen, Ryan Handy and James Dolan.
