Ms. Hickey opened the ceremony by warmly congratulating the students on reaching their Leaving Certificate year. She acknowledged their dedication and perseverance, and shared her hopes for their bright and promising futures. 💫
The evening continued with a beautiful musical performance of Slipping Though My Fingers (Abba) by Rosy Molloy, followed by Luis Muller, who introduced the presentation of gifts to mark the occasion. 🎁🎶
Mr. Geagan then took the stage to echo Ms. Hickey’s sentiments, offering his own congratulations and best wishes. He reminded the students that “the future is as bright as you choose to make it.” ✨ He also announced the nominees for several prestigious awards, including:

- 🌈 LOETB Core Values Award
- ⚽ Sportsperson of the Year
Tiarna Baggot and Aoibhin Clerkin delivered a heartfelt student address, reflecting on the unique challenges their year group faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They also shared fond memories of their time at school and expressed gratitude to their tutors—Ms. Rush, Ms. Coffey, and Mr. Flesk—as well as their Year Head, Ms. Young, and school leaders Ms. Hickey and Mr. Geagan.
Students were then presented with their subject awards, followed by a warm and humorous Year Head speech from Ms. Young, filled with cherished memories and laughter. 🎓😂
Each student received their ASCN Certificate, and Aurora Ruggiero read a touching poem written by Abbie Dignam. Aurora also delivered a moving speech about her two years in Ireland, expressing deep appreciation for the friendships she formed and the love she received from her Irish host family. 🇮🇪💌
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Student of the Year Award to Kevin Gavin, in recognition of his exceptional work ethic and his contribution to the school community. 🌟🏆
The celebration concluded with another performance by Rosy Molloy of I’ll Always Remember You (Miley Cyrus-Hannah Montana) , closing the evening on a high note. 🎤✨ Families and friends were then invited to enjoy refreshments and photos, capturing the joy of this unforgettable night. 📸🍰
