ASCN boys qualify for Leinster!!

30 Jan, 2019 | News

The u16 badminton teams travelled to St. Brendans in Birr on Tuesday the 15th of Jan. with MsNaughton.
The girls team didn’t manage to qualify but competed really well beating Tullamore College and Killina. Kilcormac, Killina A and Banagher proved too strong over all even though some of the girls won their own individual games.
The boys showed great determination finishing top of their group against Tullamore, Banagher B and Killina A. This meant they would play second from group 2. They put in a fantastic performance against Banagher A winning 4 of the 6 games. This meant that they qualified for the Leinster competition and secured a cup. They played Kilcormac in the final and lost but the boys can be happy with their qualification into the next round in Baldoyle in March!!
