Ard Scoil Chiaráin Naofa’s TY Students Shine in Cinderella Panto

1 Feb, 2025 | Transition Year

The Transition Year students of Ard Scoil Chiaráin Naofa recently delighted audiences with their vibrant and entertaining production of “Cinderella.” The panto was performed over three days, with a special matinee for local primary school students on the morning of Wednesday, January 29th, followed by evening performances for the general public on January 29th, 30th, and 31st.

The entire TY group participated in the production, taking on various roles both on stage and behind the scenes. The main characters included Prince William (Ryan Handy), Cinders (Cinderella – Sarah Reynolds), Buttons (Ava C. Dunne), Dandini (Dylan Dunne), the Ugly Sisters (Nicola Tracey and Colin Rooney), and the Stepmother (Lucy Traynor). Students also contributed significantly to the success of the show by working backstage and managing the light and sound.

The audience was thoroughly engaged throughout the performances, cheering and interacting enthusiastically with the cast. The lively atmosphere and the students’ spirited performances made the panto a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Special thanks were extended to the teachers and caretakers who built the stage, the teachers who directed the students, and Mr Geagan and Ms Hickey for their support.

The panto was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the TY students and their teachers. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to showcase their talents and bring joy to the community.
