Agri-Aware Intro to Ag-Science

As part of transition year Laois and Offaly Education & Training Board in conjunction with Agri-Aware are delighted to be offering its new program “Introduction to Agriculture” to all TYs in ASCN. Ms. Victoria Kells from Agri-Aware visited ASCN today and worked with one group of TY students around the topic “Digestion in the Ruminant”. Students competed in a quiz, took part in a group work activity and finished the lesson with a presentation of their work to their peers. In the coming weeks students will participate in more activities throughout the programme and get a real feel for the subject Ag-Science. This will help them make an informed choice going forward into senior cycle.
